Ugly fonts

After installing Debian I experienced ugly fonts, especially websites looked bad in Chrome and Firefox.

$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig-config

These settings made it for me:

Font tuning method for screen: Autohinter

Enable subpixel rendering for screen: Automatic

Enable bitmapped fonts by default: Yes

$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig

Logout from current session, then login again.
